So, thought I was getting somewhere, managed to get logged into the correct web page and click the download link. Please Uninstall andy pre-release Office software using the Programs and Features item in your Control Panel and try installing again.
I’ve uninstalled the version of Office that was on this machine, I’ve used the microsoft fix-it tool to double check this, for Windows 8, both Office and There is no other version of office on this machine, there’s no “microsoft office” folder in either of the Program Files folders, and there never has been, I’ve only had this laptop 6 months.
Uninstall Office program completely from the system and then try installing Office Professional Plus program and check:. Run the automated troubleshooter from the following article to remove all traces of the new Office installed on the system.
